Island peak climbing Nepal (6189 meter) is very popular Climbing Peak in Everest region. Island peak is best
for New Climbers who wants to experience Mountaineering & Trekking. And also can take it as a pre-training
before summitting the Mt. Everest. This Peak is the most ideal peak for the trekkers who wants to have bit more adventure than just doing Everest Base Camp Trek. Climbing peak is not that easy like a trekking but while you are on the Top of the Peak then you’ll have enormous Proud feeling and the scenery from the top is breathtaking. While you reach the top you’ll forget
everything and just would have a heavenly feeling which you never have had experienced
before and it remains throughout your whole life. The Journey of Island peak climbing starts from
Kathmandu fly to Lukla and follow Dudhkoshi River which takes you to the largest settlement (Namche
Bazar) before further entering into the forest of higher mountains, including Mt. Everest.
After EBC (Everest Base Camp) the trail takes you to Komgma la Pass (5535 meter) which is one
of the highest passes in Nepal . After crossing the pass you’ll arrive Chhukung village. Chhukung
is the last village (with a proper lodge to stay) before heading towards the Island Peak.
After Chhukung you’ll be sleeping in a Tented Camp. You’ll have some Climbing training at the
Island Base camp. And the next day (early in the morning) you’ll start to conquer the Island
Peak. Most of the climbers do reach the peak before noon time.
After summiting the Island peak climbing Nepal you’ll be walking down to Chhukung and in other days to
Dingboche, Namche, Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.

Day06: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360m), 5 – 6 hours

Day08: Dingboche to Lobuche (4940m), 5-6 hours
Day09: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170m), visit Everest Base Camp (5,364m), 6-7 hours
Day10: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5545m) and back to Lobuche (4940m), 7-8 hours

Physical Condition & Experience Requirements
Normal trekkers who has pre-trekking experiences and has reached the altitude of 3,000m are eligible of climbing Island Peak without much difficulties.
Note;- The climbers would be given a pre-climbing training before heading towards the summit, so, it makes them feel easier and acquires much confidence to summit the peak.
