Short Everest Trek:

This trekking is a Short and Sweet trek in Everest region. Short Everest Trek is an ideal for those who have limited time but still wants to see the Mt. Everest. This trek starts from Kathmandu flight to Lukla and follows the path along the Dudhkoshi river passing through Sherpa villages, Chortens, Prayer wheels, Monasteries, etc. The largest village is Namche and the view is superb from here.

Furthermore, the trail takes you to Khumjung Village and to the Everest View Hotel- from here you can have 360 degree view of snow mountains as well as down valleys. The mountains include Mt. Everest(8848m), Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama dablam, Kangtega, Thamserku and many more other mountains. Khumjung is a beautiful village of Sherpa people. Additionally, here is an old monastery. Inside the monastery you can see “Yeti’s Scalp”. Villagers here do believe that the Scalp is genuine of Yeti.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu and trip preparation (1,300m)

Day02: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,651m), 3 – 4 hours

Day03: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m), 5 – 6 hours

Day04: Hike to Everest view hotel and explore Khumjung village & Khumjung monastery

Day05: Back to lukla (2860 meter), 8 hours

Day06: Fly back to Kathmandu and explore Kathmandu

Day07: Final departure
