Annapurna Base Camp Trek via Poonhill:
The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek is one of Nepal’s most popular Himalayan adventures and an excellent choice for first-time trekkers. This 7-day journey takes you through beautiful rhododendron forests, waterfalls, terraced farms, and traditional mountain villages before reaching the heart of the Annapurna region.
The trek begins from Pokhara with a drive to Ulleri and follows a scenic route through Ghorepani, Poon Hill, Tadapani, Chhomrong, and Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Along the way, you’ll enjoy stunning mountain views and experience the culture and hospitality of local communities.
At Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m), you’ll be surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks, including Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and the iconic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) Mountain. The close-up views of the Annapurna Glacier and the spectacular mountain panorama make reaching base camp an unforgettable experience.
The trek typically involves 5–6 hours of walking each day and overnight stays in comfortable teahouses. No previous trekking experience is required, making it a rewarding adventure for anyone looking to experience the beauty of the Himalayas.
