Climbing Mera Peak gives you the real expedition experience in the Himalaya.Though, it’s not as difficult as climbing over 8000m mountains. The Mera Peak expedition journey starts from Kathmandu fly to Lukla. In Khumbu region, your adventure well begins passing through rocky path, through dense forest, etc. The trek continues through Buddhist Stupas, Prayer wheels, Monasteries, etc. Enroute you’ll have chance to experience local life of Sherpa people and their authentic culture. On the way back from Mera Expedition you’ll be crossing a pass called Zatarwa la pass (4610 m) where you can have a superb view of Numbur himal(6958m), Kongde ri (6187 m), Khryolung peak (96511m) and many other snow mountains. The trekking trail goes to rhododendron forest to Thaknak (4350 meter) here you can rest and explore the Sabal Tso lake. After that you’ll trek towards Mera base camp (53000m) via Mera glacier. Then you’ll be staying overnight at High camp (in a tented Camp) before summiting the peak. From here you’ll have stunningviews of snow mountains,eg. Mt.Everest(8848), Makalu(8816m), Baruntse(7129m), Kusum kangaru(6367m),etc. and also would be able to enjoy the beautiful view of Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586m). Next day (early in the morning) you’ll be heading towards the Mera Summit (6476 m) where you can get the best expedition experience with the 360degree view of snow mountains including Mt. Everest (8848), Makalu (8816 m), Kanchenjunga (8586m), Lhotse (8516m), Cho yu (8188m) and many more other mountains.
