Day to Day Itinerary
Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)
Upon arrival, we’ll transfer you to the Hotel. After freshening up we’ll have welcome tea with a short briefing about the trip and whether you’re ready with all the clothing and equipment. If the time permits, we’ll do Thamel Visit.
Day02: Kathmandu- Trip Preparation & Sightseeing (1400m)
Today we’ll visit Swayambhunath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square along with Kumari & Ason Market
Swayambhunath is a beautiful and huge Buddhist Stupa atop a hill from where you can see the whole Kathmandu valley. The stupa is quite old, over 1500 years old. There are several smaller shrines on the premises of Swayambhunath. One of them is the Temple of Harati ma. There is also a Buddhist teaching School. The lower part of the hill is covered by forest and has many monkeys. So, the temple is called the Monkey temple.
Few kilometers from Swayambhunath is Hanumandhoka Durbar Square. It is the square of several Hindu Temples. There is a Palace Building in the middle of the square where the royal family used to live till the mid-twentieth century. Kumari- The Living Goddess also resides in Hanuman Dhoka Durbar square. From here we’ll walk to Ason market which is close to Thamel, our Hotel’s Location.
Day03: Kathmandu- Trip Preparation & Sightseeing (1400m)
Today we’ll visit Pashupatinath, Bhaktapur, and Changu Narayan mandir. In the morning we’ll visit the Pashupatinath mandir. And from there we’ll head towards Bhaktapur Ancient Town. Here we’ll visit Pottery Square, Taleju Temple, Nayatapola Temple, etc. And then will drive to Changu Narayan Temple atop a Hill. Along the way, we can see nice farm terraces and down valleys.
Day04: Drive to Kyirun (2900m)
After a healthy breakfast, we’ll drive to the Zhangmu border. After Immigration formalities we’ll drive to kyirung for an overnight stay.
Day05: Acclimatization Day in Kyirung (2900m)
Today we’ll have free time for a walk around. We need time to acclimatize to the high altitude. We’ll look around the town.
Day06: Kyirun- Drive to Saga (4450m)232km, 5-6hrs drive
Today we’ll drive on the desert terrain driving through nomad camps and yak herds. Along the way, we’ll see several High Mountains, some of them over 8000m. We’ll see Shishapangma Himal, Gauri Shankar Himal, Langtang Himal, and many other Himalayas. We’ll drive through several High Lakes (some at 4400m) and also will cross Brahmaputra river, in Tibetan, it’s called the Yarlung Tsangpo. Overnight in a Hotel at Saga
Day07: Saga- Drive to Prayag (4558m)/ Mansarovar, 507km, 8-9 hrs drive
Today would also be a scenic drive. We’ll pass through Zhongba village and also will have our first glimpse of Mt. Kailash and the Holy Lake Mansarovar. We’ll see some other beautiful lakes as well. Mansarovar, which is the highest freshwater lake in the world with a turquoise complexion is scenery to behold. Overnight in a Hotel at Prayag
Day08: Prayag- Drive to Darchen (4570m)
After spending our beautiful morning in Mansarovar lake, we’ll drive to darchen which is on the foothill of Mt. Kailash. From Darchen we’ll start our Kailash Kora the next day.
Day09: Start kailash Kora/ Parikrama- Trek to Dira-puk (5000m), 15km
Our Trek will start after breakfast. It would be an exciting walk through beautiful waterfalls, rocky cliffs, and blue sky. It’ll take us 6-7hrs to cover up the 15km trail. Because of the high altitude, our walking pace would be quite slow. Overnight in a local guesthouse or in a tented Camp
Day10: Kailash Kora/ Parikrama- Trek to Zuthul Puk (4750m), 18km
Our Kailash Parikrama will continue today. It would be a bit difficult because of the Higher elevation and the long day. We have to cross Dolma La Pass at 5670m. We’ll stop for a while at Dolma La for our wishes and prayer. Our today’s camp would be at Zuthul Puk. Overnight in a local Guesthouse or tented Camp
Day11: Kailash Kora/ Parikrama- Trek to Darchen- Drive to Saga (4450), 20km
Today would be a slightly easier day because of mostly going downwards. After arriving in Darchen we’ll drive to Saga for a night stay. Overnight at Saga in a Guest House
Day12: Drive to Kyirung, 6-7 hrs drive
After breakfast, we’ll drive back to Kyirung.
Day13: Drive to Kathmandu. 7-8hrs drive
After Immigration formalities at the Tibet-Nepal border, we’ll drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight in a Hotel in Kathmandu
Day14: Spare day in Kathmandu: ( We keep this day for just in case if we need an extra day in Tibet concerning the high altitude and some other unforeseen issues)- Today we’ll visit Sleeping Vishnu
After a relaxing and healthy breakfast, we’ll visit the Sleeping Vishnu temple at Budhanilkantha. And in the late afternoon, we can take our time visiting the Thamel area. Overnight in a Hotel in Kathmandu
Day15: Have a free morning to recall and record your precious memories, write postcards, or simply enjoy with tea or coffee, and depending on your flight time we’ll transfer you to the Airport for your onward journey.

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)
