The Manaslu Circuit Trek via Larke Pass:
The Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s finest trekking routes, offering a combination of mountain scenery, traditional villages, and rich Himalayan culture. Circling Mount Manaslu, the world’s eighth-highest mountain, this trek takes you through a less crowded region where ancient traditions remain an important part of daily life.
The journey begins with a drive from Kathmandu and follows river valleys, forests, and mountain trails into the remote Manaslu region. Along the way, trekkers pass through villages such as Jagat, Samagaon, and Samdo, where Tibetan Buddhist culture is reflected in local monasteries, prayer flags, and stone mani walls.
The scenery changes dramatically throughout the trek. Lower sections feature lush forests and deep gorges, while higher elevations reveal glaciers, alpine landscapes, and panoramic mountain views. Mount Manaslu dominates much of the route, joined by peaks such as Himalchuli, Sringi Himal, and Simnang Himal. A major highlight is crossing Larke Pass, which offers wide views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges.
This is a moderately challenging to demanding trek that requires good fitness and some trekking experience. Daily walks typically range from 5 to 8 hours, and accommodation is provided in local teahouses. The Manaslu Circuit Trek is ideal for travelers who want a quieter alternative to the more popular trekking routes while experiencing both spectacular mountain scenery and traditional Himalayan culture.
And if you are looking for an optional route then we’d recommend the Upper Mustang Trek.
Apex Nepal Treks & Tours is a guide owned company in Nepal and we organize every trek in a best way you can afford. Our Manaslu Circuit Trek is the most reasonable price in the market. Thank you!
