Day to Day Itinerary

Tibet Tour With Lhasa & Everest Base Camp Itinerary: 

 

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)
Upon arrival, we’ll transfer you to the Hotel. After freshening up we’ll have welcome tea with a short briefing about the trip and whether you’re ready with all the clothing and equipment. If the time permits, we’ll do Thamel Visit.
Day02: Kathmandu- Trip Preparation & Sightseeing (1400m)
Today we’ll visit Swayambhunath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square along with Kumari & Ason Market
Swayambhunath is a beautiful and a huge Buddhist Stupa atop a hill from where you can see the whole Kathmandu valley. The stupa is quite old, over 1500 years old. There are several smaller shrines on the premises of Swayambhunath. One of them is the Temple of Harati ma. There is also a Buddhist teaching School. The lower part of the hill is covered by forest and has many monkeys. So, the temple is called the Monkey temple.
Few kilometers from Swayambhunath is Hanumandhoka Durbar Square. It is the square of several Hindu Temples. There is a Palace Building at the middle of the square where the royal family used to live till the mid-twentieth century. Kumari- The Living Goddess also resides in Hanuman Dhoka Durbar square. From here we’ll walk to Ason market which is close to Thamel, our Hotel’s Location.
Day03: Kathmandu- Trip Preparation & Sightseeing (1400m)
Today we’ll visit Pashupatinath, Bhaktapur, and Changu Narayan mandir. In the morning we’ll visit the Pashupatinath mandir. And from there we’ll head towards Bhaktapur Ancient Town. Here we’ll visit Pottery Square, Taleju Temple, Nayatapola Temple, etc. And then will drive to Changu Narayan Temple atop a Hill. Along the way, we can see nice farm terraces and down valleys.
Day04: Kathmandu- Lhasa by Flight (3650m)
After a healthy breakfast, we’ll drive to Airport for Lhasa Flight. The flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa is the most scenic flight in the world.  It crosses through the great Himalayas. You’ll have several eight-thousander mountain views along with the beautiful landscape of Nepal and Tibet. Upon arrival in Lhasa, we’ll be transferred to the hotel to freshening up, Rest, and Welcome Tea. Concerning the sudden high altitude, we need to take some rest before moving around. And we’ll have an early bed tonight for enough sleep. Hydration and Enough Sleep are the most vital ingredients for proper acclimatization.
 
Day05: Lhasa Sightseeing (3650m)
Today we’ll do sightseeing in and around  Lhasa. We’ll visit Potala Palace, Jhokhang Temple and Barkhor Market
Day06: Lhasa Sightseeing (3650m)
Today we’ll do sightseeing in and around  Lhasa. We’ll visit Drepung Monastery & Sera Monastery
Day07: Lhasa to Yerpa Cave(4885m) &  Ganden Monastery of Gelukpa (4300m)-back to Lhasa
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Yerpa Cave Monastery and further to Ganden Monastery of Gelukpa- Evening time would get back to Lhasa
Day08: Lhasa Tsedang via Samya Monastery- Drive to Tsedang (3100m)
Today we’ll have a slightly longer day and will visit several major attractions. We’ll visit one of the holiest lakes in Tibet- Yamdrok Lake and then to Samaya Monastery. In Tsedang which is known as the “Cradle of Tibetan Civilisation“, we’ll visit Yumbu Lhakhang & Tranduk Monastery, etc.
Day09: Tsedang- to Yamdrok Lake(4441m)Shigatse (Tashilunpo Monastery), 3977m
After breakfast, we’ll start our drive. First, we’ll drive to Yamdrok Lake. One of the holiest and most beautiful lakes in Tibet. After spending some time in Yamdrok lake we’ll further drive to Shigatse where we’ll visit Tashilunpo Monastery built in 1447 by Dalai Lama which is referred to Panchen lama.
Day10: Shigatse- Tingri- Rongbuk Monastery (5009m)
Today we’ll drive to Rongbuk Monastery via Tingri. It’s a beautiful drive through Tibetan Terrain through beautiful landscapes.
 
Day11: Rongbuk Monastery- Everest Base Camp- Zhangmu Border/ Nyalum(Tibet-Nepal Border) (3650m)
Early in the morning, we’ll visit Everest Base Camp. After spending some time taking pictures here, we’ll further drive towards Nepal Border, Zhangmu/ Nyalam.
 
Day12: Zhangmu/ Nyalam- Kathmandu (1400m)
 
After finishing our Immigration formalities, we’ll drive to Kathmandu through a beautiful hilly road
 
Day13: Departure
 Have a free morning to recall and record your precious memories, write postcards, or simply enjoy with tea or coffee, and depending on your flight time we’ll transfer you to the Airport for your onward journey.
